Senior Risk Assurance Expert (80-100%)

As a Senior Risk Assurance Expert, you will work at the heart of Group Risk Management, providing high impact assurance and partnering with business units and Group functions worldwide.
In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to strengthen the reliability of our Internal Control Integrated Framework (ICIF), drive improvements based on best practice, and support policy owners in designing robust control objectives that truly make a difference. What you will do
- Provide assurance over the quality of the internal controls within the Internal Control Integrated Framework (ICIF).
- Assess and discuss internal control issues which are significant to the Group.
- Perform assurance reviews within business units and Group functions, working closely with the local Internal Control, Risk and first line teams.
- In co-operation with control testing teams, be responsible for performing assurance procedures to ensure that internal control testing activities are performed in compliance with the ICIF methodology.
- Provide enhancements based on learnings across the Group and from industry external best practices.
- Supporting policy owners in designing, developing and implementing control objectives.
What you bring
- 10+ years of experience.
- Solid knowledge of Insurance processes is required.
- Previous experience gained working within a global audit team (such as a Big 4 firm) or internal control engagements is preferred.
- Prior experience within a business unit in Risk Management, Finance or within Group Finance (within the insurance industry) would be an asset.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills are required.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal format
- Fluent written and spoken English skills.
- Additional company languages (e.g. German or Spanish) would be a distinct advantage
